To visit the temple complex Angkor Wat in the Cambodian jungle or
to sit in a massage chair whilst being informed about the future of
health - the thematic area of EXPO2000 offers insights into the world
of the 21st century with spectacular performances and breathtaking
simulations.

Eleven different exhibitions, closely linked by the theme of 'sustainable
development', take place in an area covering 100,000 square metres.
How to secure the medical, food and energy supplies of the world's
ever growing population? What traffic concepts guarantee mobility
in the future, and what will our working environments look like in
the 21st century?

The thematic area poses questions and presents solutions for pressing
social, cultural and ecological problems. In short: Our future living
together on this globe will be investigated from different angles.
The exhibition halls are usually open to visitors from 9.30 am until
9.30 pm. During September the Thematic Area will be open every Friday
until 12.00 midnight. The season (performances) of "Future of Work"
will not be extended.
